The Couvent, which owes its name to the initial purpose of the site, is a meeting place located in the heart of nature.

It is in reality a stunning estate, which served as the residence of a religious congregation from 1954 to 2013. You now have the opportunity to rent it exclusively and enjoy a stay with your organization, your family or your friends.

This beautiful estate is located in Val-Morin, 90 km away from Montreal, in the heart of the Laurentides. For almost 60 years, it was home to retired nuns before being purchased by Fondation Vivacité in October 2013.

Located on a large wooded estate along the shores of Lake Raymond, the Couvent is a haven of peace for business meetings, reflection days or weekends among colleagues, seminars, workshops or corporate events of all sorts.

The Couvent can also host social and family events, organize team building activities for your group and offer recreational and sports activities to our guests in all seasons, thanks to our flexible and customizable Package Menu.

A BIT OF HISTORY

For almost 60 years, The Couvent served as the summer residence of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.

Built on a wooded estate of 16 hectares along the shores of Lake Raymond, the Couvent is one of those timeless places, preserved for generations to the envy of many, that Fondation Vivacité had the brilliant idea of making accessible to individuals, organisations, businesses and groups.
The Drouin family, wanted to create a meeting place that provided beauty and comfort at a reasonable price. In 2013, they acquired this stunning estate, through Fondation Vivacité, in order to preserve its integrity and peacefulness.

Fully renovated, decorated with taste, and equipped with state-of-the art facilities and all the comfort needed to accommodate groups for business meetings, seminars and team building activities, Le Couvent has been hosting businesses, boards of directors, community and social groups, and even families, since 2014.
